    2005 MGM LS has no heat or defrost

    My 2005 MGM LS has no heat at all, the AC blows cold but I can leave the heat on for hours and it won't warm up, and same with the defrost, it blows but doesn't work. Photo is the type of AIRCON it has any help is appreciated

    My guess would be a clogged heater core. You can try to flush the heater core. I've had mixed results where flushing cured the issue for years and in another car it was only a little better for weeks. I ended up replacing the heater core that did not stay hot long after the flush and that solved the problem. In fact, that heater core is now in its second car and still blazing hot.

      Check the hoses to the heater core after the car has just reached operating temp. If both are hot, it's probably not the core and is probably the blend door actuator.

        Does the temperature gauge read normal once it's warmed up to full hot?
        These are highly engineered precision vehicles, the first step in diagnosing the problem is to strike the suspected offending part sharply and repeatedly with a blunt object, then re-test.

          So I did the eatc self test and got two codes 024 and 025

            Are those not blend door actuator issues? I'd check any and all connectors (if there are some) and the electrical wiring. Then again, it just be the actuator took a dump!
