So I figured since I've got the entire interior out, I'm going to build my sound system up. Currently it has just dash speakers and rear deck speakers. I put some JBL GTOs in the rear and it's got some Jensens in the dash. I know the dash speakers are slightly oversized (previous owner) It used to have pioneers in the rear but I read a lot of good reviews on these JBLs so I bought em. So what I'm planning to do is get some Polk Audio 6501 for the door speakers and wire them to the rear of the car (already ran the wiring and shit.) then run the dash speakers to the rear as well, where I'm going to have two channel crossovers that will basically use the dash speakers as tweeters. I'm running the whole system off a 4 channel 1000w amp, If I want a sub; I'll probably get another amp and run two 8" subs. I want my dash speakers to handle the mids to highs and the door and rear speakers to handle the mids to lows. I want a "deep sound" setup, that makes no sense but that's the best way I can describe it.
I have a good headunit now but I don't like it. So I was trying to find another head unit that looks good and fitting to the old/modern throw of the car interior, send the signals to my amp and has an aux port on it. I'd ideally like to put an aux port inside the center console that I plan to build in the future. I'm also doing this as low buck but high quality as possible. I've never liked the sound system in my car, it sounds very very clear but had no depth to any of the music. Which is what I hate.
Nick's 2010 Challenger R/T and my buddies Mark LT pickup have had the only two good depth sound systems I've come across that I liked.
