I believe the valve problem was corrected on the 96 model year.
To make up for that improvement, the plastic manifold was introduced at the same time.
My 97 Grand Marq was a good car though. Good luck.

Gave the owner a call...He had the car about a year...and the car was from out of state...these pictures are likely over a year old now. lol Turns out he lives a block away from my college...may try and check out the car later if dad wants to play mechanic inspector/chauffeur for me. Owner says selling because he wants a mini van.......I hope this car is as clean as the photo's made it out to be.~David~

Well dad says I should set up a meeting for Saturday. Pretty cold out now and day light is lost by the hour here. He wants to jack the car up and go through everything if "he is going to be the idiot working on it." That is good though!
