        bloody fuck!

The tranny is in, but I cant find my fuckin cooler lines, so I'm gonna just get a FRPP plate tranny cooler cause I dont want to fuck around with it. I only got 6 days till I leave, my last saturday as a free man.

I finally got the trunk mount battery figured out and now I got a new problem. Apparently the water pump pulley is too big to fit on with the stock pulley on the balancer...WTF! Piled on top of all the other bullshit problems.

What pullies are you using? Stock panther water pump and crank pullies work on a 351. Same distance from pump to crank on a 351 as on a 302.

                    ah shit...

I upgraded to dual electric fans out of a taurus today... The 351 truck water pump's shaft has got to be lower which caused my pulley interference and the fan to hit the shroud. So in my haste I figured I'd upgrade to electric fans down the road anyway so I did. They are out of a 98 taurus and move a pretty good amount of air on low. I need to make some kind of a shroud eventually but they are pretty good for now, no worse than any other aftermarket fan.

Headers are on, tranny cooler in, carb and fuel lines done, battery cables run, guages hooked up...By Golly I think I'm getting close to firing the monster.

you still need the pulley to drive the water pump......is that truck wp the correct rotation?

Just refreshed my memory on the MSD wiring. Swapped the timing cover and back to the 351 cop car water pump. Killed me time wise but all I need now is a plug for a water outlet and to wire up the ignition, fill it with oil and wire the starter. Fans, fuel pump, are all switched and working.

Lesson learned today...When Priming an oil system, make sure the drill is in reverse. Saves alot of worrying.

I gotta pick up some more oil tomorrow and let the battery charge over night and then try to start it tomorrow morning. Everything is wired for the most part to fire it, fixed a leak in my thermostat. Starter cranks, fuel pump runs, ignition wired, fans run...Not much more I need.
