        I'd buy 10 of them and some long ass bolts and have the intake stick out through the hood.

          Even though there is nothing really to gain, I will still go ahead and purchase one when some pay checks roll in. Really want to paint up the mustang valve covers I have as well as the spare Mustang upper intake I have....installing this then will be worth the removal of the other pieces.

            wish i had a couple spare paychecks

            1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
            2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature. Stock for now
            1989 Ford F-250 4x4 much much more to come, sefi converted so far.

              Oh hell yes. With the ten stacked up, I bet this thing would move the torque curve wayyyy low. Hell, I'd just eliminate the upper intake all together, stack an additional 10-15 spacers on top of the original ten of them, and install 8 throttle blades on the top-most spacer....and then bolt on a giant newspaper box on top of that for a giant ram-air scoop.

              Ram intake stacks for teh win!

                With all those spacers you could prolly scoop up the unburned jet fuel in the sky thats good for 50 horse right there.

                  I just purchased a 1/2 Ford Racing phenolic intake spacer...problem is no hardware comes with it. Will explorer hardware work with a 1/2 spacer on stock Mustang intake components?

                      I bought it used from another forum. spacer and gaskets for 35 shipped. I just have to figure out a mounting solution that will fit underneath the plenum plaque.

                        just need to use longer bolts. I think they're 5/16, nothing overly special about them. Short bolts you'll find at the hardware store easily, the long bolts you may have to request from the store or something.

                          That is the conversation I had with the seller. The shorter ones should be no problem to get, but the two long center ones may give me a pain in the butt.

                            I had no luck finding the right long bolts, i went to large and small hardware stores, and even a place that sells nothing but fasteners/fittings. It seemed every place went from 6" (too short) to 8" (too long)
                            Luckily after C4C there were plenty of 5.0 explorers to nab bolts from (they worked) I think I have a couple extra if you wind up needing them.

                              What spacer are you running on your car pete? If the explorer centers will work with my 1/2 spacer definitely get a box ready with those and the muncher cover.
