Today I'm trying to track down parts for the rear because it needs to be done, I think I found the rear police interceptor coils McQuay-Norris springs from advance, and I think I found the correct shock, but I'm not sure if its the right one. its a KYB GR2 part #343135 but its the same # for civilian models so I dont know. They have monroe but I heard they are bad shocks. Any help is gratly aprreciated.

Mercmarquis, here is my car with stock front springs, a pair of rear wagon HD cargo coils from Advance (TRW CC819, the stiffest ones available for a Panther), no air in the shocks, and almost empty trunk:

When uncompressed the new springs are shorter than the stock ones, but cause they are stiffer when loaded they sag a lot less, giving you an overall higher rear end. Handling is much better, and cause they are progressive rate you still get decently comfortable ride.

KYB makes GR-2 shocks that are also air adjustable, don't remember the part #, but they are like $40 each at Advance - if you wanna keep the self-levelling system order a pair of these.

Actually when shopping for suspension parts it's best to go to Advance and make them look up the parts, their computers have lots of data that is not available online. They also have catalogs with springs that are not for a particular vehicle, so if you're looking for something more uncommon you can try that too - just find the right dimensions and spring rate you need, and they'll order the set for you.

Hope all that helps at least a little...

Thanks Ivan, I went down there today and ordered the interceptor spring and shocks. I'm happy with what I got, I just gotta wait until tomarrow (hopefully) and get em.
