t goes likea thisa: Pull the SPOUT connector from the harness that plugs into the side of the distributor. It looks like a small black fuse. Start the engine and set the timing to 10 degrees BTDC. The marks are on the harmonic balancer and you'll probably have to get under the car and mark the correct spot with a paint marker. Make sure you get the BTDC side since the balancer has marks for both after and before top dead center. It should be marked either Before or BTDC. I don't remember which. Timing pointer is on the passenger side of the engine, kinda between the air pump and the block, mounted right to the side of the timing cover.

I guess i should add to that "loosen the 1/2" bolt on the holdown at the bottom of the distributor so it will turn". then the rest applies.

for the new problem, sounds like maybe a sticky EGR valve. Or a combination of a lot of things.... did you maybe knock something loos putting in the o2 sensor? the EGR vacuum hose is pretty close to the o2 sensor.

Ok i thought the timming adjustment was different for some retarded reason. I remember my grandpa always saying stuff about "that god damned EGR!" i think he had some one replace it or disable it, I dont know for sure but I will find out. Thanks alot for being so patient with me, I am slowly losing my mind between work, football, school, home, the car...ect..
