Please let us know if things are working or not. This is still somewhat a work in progress so don't be too surprised if things magically appear from one visit to the next.
Well...I am a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering Student, and I have a few CAD programs. I've always wanted to make a nose attatchment like the Superbird had.
I was looking a black air dam on an 80's F150 at work the other day... the length is close, but the attachment mounts are vertical and our bumpers only have horizontal provisionss... I bet some bracketry would fix that up though... I might have to nab one and try
I think something like that would look better on 88-91 bumpers though... it makes me want to do a bumper swap even more
anyone ever carried a bumper inside a box?? is there room???
Yes, when I bought my rear bumper it fit angled in the back seat still in the package, which was good because it came with a film of oil on it. I guess to prevent the back side from rusting.

I want it to be in the same location as our stock air dams are. If it's up on the bumper it's an air splitter.
oh!
I dont have one of whats in your pic... must have fallen off.
Would an air splitter have a reverse affect and hurt cooling??
and thats good news about the bumper - now i may actually have to try this bumper swap
Tough to say. A splitter will creat a low pressure behind it that will suck air down, it will suck it down from in front of the radiator though. Wether or not it will be enough to make a 1 degree difference is another story.
''Besides making your own from scratch you could mod one for another car to fit ours. Usually all you have to do is cut one in the middle and space it to fit, then fill in the center section.''
What models of cars though? I think I read something about someone doing that with a ''cobra'' bodykit. But, a ''cobra'' what? And how do you go about ''filling in'' and cutting the fiberglass? I have no bodywork skills, so bear with me on this question please.
