Ah what a beauty! You did well buying this one. Good luck, and do whatever makes you happy to it, we all know you'll take good care of her. If it was mine, I'd keep it perfectly stock, although I know the desire paint her blue is going to be strong.

Alright the pictures I promised. Regarding the rust, there is one very small spot on the drivers rear door, one very small spot on each top corner of the windshield, and the bottom of the drivers door has some surface rust from the weatherstripping, which is all easily fixed. I go the car titled and registered today, as well as working on getting the insurance for it (considering Hagerty). Now onto the beauty shots:

You can kinda see where the seal caused the surface rust in this one, as well as the kinda meh interior.

      Only 61k

My favorite part of the entire car. Dat radio.

The VV 302 in all of its glory

      The final inspection stamp, 4/16/81

I was not aware that like new dash pads existed for these cars.

Tomorrow I'm going to run it through a car wash to clean off the storage dust and everything it picked up from the Michigan/Ohio winter on the exposed trailer, as it's supposed to be close to 60 degrees. First plans are fixing the rust spots before they get worse, pulling down the dropping headliner, and storing that dash pad before it gets ruined. I have been listing a few plans for it, and we'll see what comes to light. Once I get this week's paycheck I'm going to get a Cal Car cover for it, since because of the street rod and the AMX, we are out of garage space. I'm still working on being able to stomach the $400 price tag....

        Gorgeous car.
I know, but in its current state, with it not having any super rare options or stupid low miles, this honestly fits perfectly into the resto mod category. The red one that was with this one would be the kind of car I would clean and not do anything else. Trust me though, the mods will be tasteful.

Thanks so much for linking those ads, I would have never found this without it.

I come and go from this site, but I knew somebody on here would appreciate them. I'd love to have them, but I don't have the space for 'em.

I'm a sucker for these no frills, no fancy trim, minimally optioned models.

Now we need somebody to go for the '85.

Beautiful car in excellent condition. Best of luck with it. I was considering the red one. Needed the 75 Ltd sold to do it.

The paint is real nice and you have alot of what people want like, the stripless bumpers. Only thing that is a bit weird is, it does not have slots in the front bumper. Also, I think some light tint on the windows would look good. Are you going to put the wheels on this car too?

As of now yes. I was curious about that as well, there were no front bumper shots in the ad and I just assumed it had the slotted bumper. I know where I can get one though so it isn't the end of the world.

If you get the slotted bumper I'm sure someone will need that stripless bumper eventually.

Cover was worth it for me. Mine was 5hundo. Gonna be running it year round now. Planning on picking up a new one each year if the summer kills it.

That car makes me tingle in my special place....!!!!!!!!!!

Is it best to replace a vehicle cover after a few years? Especially a cheap one I presume? I should probably get another for the Reflex...

I though 79/80 were the only years for the slotted bumpers?

Also, putting an aftermarket radio in that car would be a sin to the box gods.

I'm pretty sure '81 was the last year. I'm 100% '81 was the last year for the marquis, since mine had one.

If it has holes in it I'd replace it.
