I find myself nitpicking over certain things, and even though it's just a key I think it would be cool to get one of the newer style keys. My big question being, is it possible to cut it so that it fits my ignition cylinder? I know it would probably work on a 90-91 box, but I'm not too sure about the older boxes. Any ideas?

yeah, they gotta fit in the cylinder neck.
I though about getting a new style key too... maybe the smaller head plastic top key would work. I need to start seeing if cusomers ford keys fit in minePete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

My 97 has a similar key. the thin part is longer but the same shape. i just tried to put it in the ignition of my 85 and it does not fit. feels like the keyed part is too thick.http://secondhandracing.com/Home.aspx
