I dont think you can have both!
If you are good with upholstry, just have one sub in the middle showing with the amp below it, and the rest of the seat normal so two people could sit on either side.Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

I was thinking about triming them in and mounting fiberglass with a few evenly mounted holes, right where they are at.The Terror Of The Streets

what do you think about taking the bench out and finding some low backed bucket seats and build a console that houses the speakers? The Terror Of The Streets

Find a 2+2 vehicle and steal the rear seat from that. It'd be nearly impossible to properly reassemble seats while they're permanently mounted.
I'd go one above the other, amp on the back of the seat. Buy a Wal-mart center console, gut the center section of your bench, and put the Wal-Mart console there, permanently attached.

find a front seat with the fold down armrests like in my lincoln, remove the armrests and pop it in as a back seat, itll give you a space for a sub or an amp, and mount the subs in the rear deck with a box under the subs in the trunk, seal it tight and your good to gojay--1983 towncar, 302v8 cfi, dual straight pipes w/resonators ,edelbrock motor goodies, custom interior, full custom stereo system, full rebuilt trunk audio setup, custom paint...more to come......
