stock single exhaust with many many small leaks in the Y pipe. When I gas it, I get a nice exhaust smell inside. I really need to fix the windowPete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

I almost have the parts for stock duals ready... just waiting on one more tailpipe and muffler. Im putting Merit "Enforcer II" mufflers on it, $25 from Fisher w/discount.
I almost was going to be anal about getting the OEM frame mount taipipe hanger stud to put on the drivers side, so I could use the OEM rubber dougnut hangers on both sides. Then I remebered this is supposed to be a beater... why do small insignificant things like that bother me???Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

Are the Merit "Enforcer II" mufflers quiet or loud? I still haven't bought mufflers yet for my ma's CV. I am thinking of getting Summit's turbo mufflers because they said that they sound like the Flowmaster 50 series. I figured with cats, miles of exhaust tubing, Summit muffs, and two 4" Monza exhaust tips with resonators will quiet down both a lopo and HO motor. Of course I am installing exhaust dumps after the H-pipe; I need some noise.

Im not really sure... lol - they look like run of the mill generic turbo mufflers which tend to be on the quiet side.
Ill have sounds bytes once I get them on, once I get an H pipe that fits. The one I got is an inch too narrow at the flanges, they dont both line up to the cat pipes...Last edited by 85crownHPP; 02-09-2007, 03:13 AM.Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

yup, they are quiet lol
wound up bending the H pipe untill it fit... the replacement one they sent was even more off! So we pulled the flanges apart on the original one untill it worked.
The tails are-nt crinkle-free like the last ones I got for the 85... my pipes must have gotten bent on 3rd shift because one of the mufflers barely clears the driveshaft, and I need to got get another universal type swivler hanger to space the passenger tailpipe further from the frame. decent fit overall though...
driving around with open cats was getting OLD....
heres some video
