Remove hubcaps, scrub wheels clean, apply silver wheel paint, plastic annoyances eliminated.

You might also consider getting late-model ('98-'02) police centercaps and the corresponding lugnuts.

Eagerly awaiting the promised propane pics ........

Good advice! I'm hot on the trail of some nice wire caps at the moment so hopefully I won't need any silver paint.

Thanks for another of the many friendly welcomes to gmn!
I work in Surrey, lovely place! No guns or crime at all

Right then gaseus photo's as promised.....But first a Disclaimer: "I AM THE WORLDS WORST PHOTOGRAPER, even that smiley is better than me
AND, all I know about this system is what I've learned from a guy I know who's been using LPG cars for years"

ok so starting at the back end, the tanks.
From left to right: fuel incoming from the filler which is in the usual place, the air bleed for filling, a drain valve (I think?), the level gauge(connected to the dash dial) and then the outflow to the metering system up front.

The top of the motor so you can relate the location of the next pics

And here are the bits that do the metering and vaporising (the cylinder shaped things). I'm not sure what the bottom left one is, could be a pressure regulator I guess (I'll ask my friend). The top left is the vaporiser that is tapped into the cooling system and uses the heat to turn the liquid gas back into vapour. Cold start? Again, don't know. I guess it burns the stuff that is naturally vaporised in the tank. And last, top right, the metering device that replaces the carb. Apparently it measures air flow into the motor and feeds it accordingly.

A couple of the speedo for Cable Guys. Sorry about the quality! It's something to do with the lux conditions don't you know

Got a few more questions lol

How's your mileage? Does it seem to have a lot of power running on the LPG?

One of the really nice thing about running propane (or any other gas besides gasoline) is your oil is going to stay a hell of a lot cleaner.

I've only had the car for a few weeks now but so far the gas milage seems to be somewhere between 10 & 12 per US gallon (if I got my calcs right!). I've not driven a petrol powered version to make a comparison but it feels like it's got plenty of power. It certainly accelerates well for such a heavy weight old bus although my impression of acceleration is skewed somewhat by the fact I ride bikes, some of which will hit 100mph before you can blink Most stuff feels slow after that! From what I've read propane gives around 7% less power than petrol and given the type of drving this car is meant for (cruising) that is acceptable for me especially when propane costs a third less, no burnouts for this beauty

I moved out from Surrey, BC to Toronto last year. Surrey is a nice place, but not for me to live there anymore. I've lived in Ontario for many years. That why I moved back.

So anyway, I hope to visit my parent this year and maybe we can meet and see your car in BC.
