    Hey Folks ! ...86 Vic

Hi all !! Got directed to this site this week by a member and think it is a very cool site. Bought a 86 Crown Vic late last summer after I decided to do a "Men In Black" clone. Five years ago I did a Bluesmobile clone and still drive it today ... lots of fun.
The vic was originaly blue with a mint blue interor and very low mileage. It has next to nothing for options on it other than an AM/FM cassette radio. There was no vinyl roof to contend with tearing off and that was a blessing in the clone process.
I live just outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Hi, and welcome to the world of 1986, the year of uniqueness and awesome!!! That car looks sexy. You gonna do an interior swap too? The MIB car had a gray interior.

Welcome. Very, very nice. Did the Men In Black car have the gauges above the glove box? If so you are in luck because recently one seller on ebay put up a whole bunch! http://motors.shop.ebay.com/bigcityc...911.m270.l1313

                  Hello,
Yes, it has fresh paint and the bumpers are really nice. The real Men In Black movie cars had grey interiors. Will probably leave it blue as lot of police cruisers were blue and nice grey interiors are hard to find ... plus lots of work. I do not think the movie car had dash gages. Am having problems matching the movie car rims and hubcaps. I do have the dog dish hubcaps, but my stock vicky rims will not accept them....... Anyone got an idea where I can get steel rims that would work ??

I know late 70's Mavericks had steel wheels with dog dishes that will bolt up. But there only 14"s

Got a nice set of 15" tires and really do not want to go to 14"s.

If you really want authenticity, the MIB car had 16 inch wheels, which housed the dog dish hubcaps. You can find them on any old police car. If you were closer I would be able to nab you a set, I know right where one is.
