I need to stop in the morning and get a batter for the '84. I'll probably stop at Walmart, since they'll be the only ones open that early. What size/brand/whatever/etc. do I need?

walmart only sells one brand iirc, everstart. Get the 65 group one if you want the big daddy. I forget what the little one is

Seriously? Walmart up here sells Energizer and Optima, that's where I picked up my 800CCA red-top a few years back for the Mustang!

yeah theres a lot of variation in walmarts... I went to one out of town that I swear had 2 whole extra rows of car stuff, with stuff I never thought Id see in a walmart on the shelves

Yea, we just carry Everstarts in my section of Ohio. I got the smaller one for mine... one of the 3 year batteries, the Everstart Maxx. Works pretty good.

I have an Optima yellow top in the Samurai and I have another one waiting to go into the Town Car.

teh wal-mart i work at has everstart batteries only. if you want a good battery, look up a 1990 country squire with the insta clear windshield setup. it is in the book. that is what was put in the waggin that Zack got. it is a big, strong battery. it is the maxx series with something like 850 or 875 CCA. i am surprised we dont carry other batteries since we have so much stuff in our automotive dept.

My '82 has a 27F in it and I believe that is what came in there factory. It's a beast.

Teh '87 has just got some rinky dink off-brand that came with it and it's about the size of a lantern battery. Teh Wagon has a new AutoCraft Silver one, dunno the number on it.

And if ya wanna nice Wal-Mart, come to the one in Bluefield, VA. It's the largest on the east coast and they got lots of car goodies (and clearance good stuff like oil).

Im using a Optima yellow top in the 85, with a functioning alternator it starts great, probably not the best choice for somewhere it gets cold though since it has lower CCA than a starting battery.

I need to replace the battery in the 97 (it is about 5 years old, cars has been in texas and florida so im sure its about to go. im gonna get a red top for that one.

I've got an Ac delco in my car, its dead if you leave the doors open more than about 15 minutes. group 65 tow package car battery too. Never had luck with batteries in this car lasting for shit, too many friggin interior lights just suck them flat. I really need to LED swap most of my bulbs just so it won't do that. I have whatever autozone gave me for my truck. Battery shit the bed, and Autozone was the first place I came to on my quest for teh powerz.

thats definitly not good... I can run the stereo on the 85 for a least an hour with the subs and all and she starts fine after... Ive also left the parking lights on overnight (all LED) and shes started up... Interstate batteries FTW
