    A couple stupid questions

What was the last year they used the C4 transmission in the CV/GM's?

And when did they change over from the 2V carb to TBI? I knew the answers to these questions at one time but now I just can't remember.

I'm looking for another CV/GM and would like to find a carbed one with a C4 transmission. If I'm limited to a 79 only it may be a long wait before I can find another one in my area.

C4's last year was 79, AOD started in 80.

That's what I was afraid of.

What year did they go to the TBI? Was it 82 or 83?

1983 was the first year for TBI in the CV and GM, although if I recall correctly, TCs had it by '81 or '82.

you could get CFI optional on 80's TC's...

you can put a C4 in up to 85, my 85 has the two mount points for the transmission crossmember to allow for both C4 or AOD

They all have 2 mount points, mostly because they never changed the frame. I don't think there was ever an optional transmission though.

They had two sets of holes up to and including 1990. Jason's 91 Grand Marq did not have the second set of holes.

here's a question along these lines...
was the 91 TC the first Ford vehicle to get the 4.6L?
I notice Lincs usually get the new stuff first, or at least they did...

cuz I knwo the 4.6 didnt get into the 'Stangs until '96, '92 for the Vic/MGMs and Im not sure about the Tbird...
