Replacing TPS

Okay so i got my new TPS unit. I am going to install it sunday. When i install it i have to remove the high idle stepper from the choke thermostat...what would happen if i didn't reinstall the stepper plate? Its the plate that holds the high idle until the choke thermostat releases it.

Should just make the car not have high idle right, and I would have to hold the gas pedal when its cold outside?

Why would you want to do that?
If you have problems setting the high idle, you prabably need a new (choke) thermostat.

you dont need to take the arm off the choke thermostat, just the levers off of that end of the butterfly shaft. Its two peices held together with a spring, so make sure to put it back just how it came off.

okay, so i get ready to replace my TPS and what do i find? The TPS has the wrong connector on it. For those who know what the connectors on the TPS looks like...the new part has the pins that gop into the sockets...however the old TPS has the sockets not the pins. Plus there was no plastic connecotr on it...just the 3 wires with the spike connectors on it....sorry for the horrible mental imagery but I had to return the part and didnt get a picture...

got the new tps on without a hitch....works great!

except for the part where that wasn't what was casuing my problem. I started the car and drove it to find the exact same problem still there. under load the car bogs seriously to the point of stalling when i accelerate. Eric thinks its clogged cats. Could be intake leak too i guess. If its expensive to fix whatever it is....the car is GONE!

ok my mechanic looked at the car and has determined the injectors are completely clogged. so he is investigating how much they are to replace.

he ordered the parts...2 new injectors from the dealership and they are $45.00 a piece. They will be here on thursday! So thursday he is going to go ahead and install them for me while I am at school, and also going to install a new thermostat housing gasket cuz mine leaks. So on friday morning my car will be all spiffy and cool!

you will prob def see a difference in power...

As compared to before, of course...they were prob getting more and more clogged all along
