just make sure the shaft on the new water pump is the same height as the old one or the pulleys will hit each other.

    Paint the damn thing...

And why would you be worried about it resting on the balancer?

hehe, now i read the directions just a min ago. And i have a question!
It states i need a harmonic balancer install tool. Well i didn't know i would need such tool! sooo, Do i really need this tool or can i just put it on? ( this one im not gonna guess at. cause i don't want to spend another 40 - 60 bucks on another balancer.)

    THANKS MANGS!

( GAWD i gotta get some more bat's for my cam )
Do you have an air gun ratchet? That'll run it up real quick. Either that or you'll have to do it by hand.

Kewl. Yep, I like painting water pumps, especially iron ones. Rusty water pumps FTL!

Oh, okay. My guess is you're safe using either one.

    Quick question.

    Thanks mang's.

the crankshaft snout. Clean it up with the steel wool, spray some pb blaster on it, and install the balancer. Make sure you have at least 1/2" or more of the bolt threaded in before it starts pulling the balancer on. If its not on far enough, smack it a couple times with a rubber mallet to push the balancer on. Don't want to strip the threads out of the crankshaft from not having enough threads in.
