You most likely will not have any noticeable problems with those spark plugs, but platinum plugs really don't belong in our cars. Copper plugs are very affordable and perform excellently. I see you purchased a few higher quality/performance ignition parts. If that's more what you're looking for, Accel U-Groove plugs have got to be the best I've ever ran in any SEFI 5.0. They last extremly long and never ever foul unless the cylinder just plain goes dead. However, next time you change any automotive filter, do NOT buy a Fram. Wix filters are the best on the market and are almost always the same price or very close to. Napa Gold and CarQuest premium filters are Wix premium filters, and Wix is also commonly available at Bumper to Bumper. Good luck, I hope your panther purrs when you're finished!

Those are all pretty good. I run the Double Platnums in GMGT and they were great!

Accel's quality in wires has definately gone down hill, as long as you aren't planning on running headers with them you should be alright. I had one set for four years... replaced them with a new set in spring, they started drying, cracking, and one of them tore when I went to remove it. So be careful with the Accel wires.

The type of oil you run in the car also makes a world of difference. If you have under 100k, you may try running a synthetic blend as well. Not full synthetic though. Either Valvoline or Castrol. Stick with one of those two oils and you'll be golden. Not the cheap stuff, and no Pennzoil or Quaker State. And as for oil filters, either Wix, Napa Gold, Motorcraft, or Bosch. No STP, Fram, or cheap shit. I personally run Valvoline 10w30 MaxLife, Lucas, and a Bosch oil filter.

im at about 150k what do you suggest?
im going through all this cuz the car gets stupid after it warms up, when i punch it, it responds but kinda cuts in and out, kinda hard to describe.

tune-up stuff is a good place to start if you're having drivability problems, especially if it hasnt been done recently.
Have you checked for vacuum leaks? the MAP sensor hose is often found rotten, and its supposed to read the sudden vacuum drop when you open the throttle.
how old is the fuel filter?

fuel filter is about year old, but the car ran out of gas on me once and it been doing it ever since, i figure it sucked all the crap of the tank into the filter and that may be part of the problem, but anyway thats getting changed too. i will let you know on monday when its done. ill be fishing in the keys this weekend so the merc will have to wait

one more thing, these accel wires have to be 'built' the boot that goes into the plug is there, but the other end of the cable(that goes to the dist. cap) is bare, and the boot with the lil metal part that goes in it come in a seperate bag...kinda pissed me off to see that
