Beautiful work there, there is nothing like a brand new shiny water pump.

Keep the old clamps for a garden hose or whatever, the new ones are perfect where they are.

Looks like though your frame could use a little rust protection (the next month job).

      Two questions:

-Should I trim that hose a little more? (maybe get some more of that bend out)

-should I re-use the OEM clamps.......or stick with the ones I have in the pic above?
I agree on the clamps ...

Also, I wouldn't worry too excessively about the hose as long as it's on and mostly in the correct position (i.e. not rubbing anything that moves). The rubber will soften up a little when it gets hot, and it should kind of take a set in a satisfactory position.

Thanks, now just have to see how well it sealed (fingers crossed)
Oh yes, and rust prevention is on my to-do list. (actually it's in real good shape considering my location)

        Cool!!
It was hitting on the swaybar and steering box before I shortened it. Now it clears everything just fine. Just was a tad concerned about that one bend I posted the pic of. I feel better about that now.

Those OEM wire clamps suck. I never recycle those. I will re-use the worm drive types like you have pictured though, they're very decent quality.

The slight bend is no big deal, just make sure the hoses aren't rubbing anything and you'll be good. I've replaced my own lower hoses before from not making sure they cleared the sway bar. They last about a year rubbing on the bar if you were curious.

Ouch, I'm guessing that's something you'll probably never forget, huh?

Car is all back together. So far everything appears to have gone quite well!
Let it warm up and it proceeded to scare the crap out of me when the temp guage got to the "M" in "normal". Then it finally started taking coolant from the radiator. I had the heater on ect....

Then it got ahead of me trying to keep it full (cap was off).
As a result I ended up putting more anti-freeze than water into the mixture than I wanted too.

I'm guessing that's no big deal....given how cold it get's here in the wintertime.....
.....But I'd like to now for sure.
