yup, I think its 84-85 CFI mustangs and LTD'd (baby LTD's) got a HO cam and ECM with a different fuel map maybe. The injectors are the same... at least the ones in the mustang CFI unit I bought off ebay were.

For 1984, the GL and GLX were dropped, leaving L, LX, GT, Turbo GT, and a new addition, the SVO. Ford also recognized the 20th Anniversary of the Mustang with the G.T.350, which consisted of a limited run of 5,260 hatchback and convertible models all trimmed in Oxford White exteriors and Canyon Red interiors. They could be equipped with either the 2.3 Turbo or 302 V8. Two 302 V8s were available, the four-barrel or a new 165 hp (123 kW) electronic-fuel-injected engine. A new "Quadra Shock" rear suspension, which replaced the slapper bars with horizontally mounted axle shocks, became available after a few months of production. After 1984, the TRX option was retired (from Wikipedia)

1985 automatic Mustangs had the HO CFI engine. 85 5 speed cars had a 4bbl carb. Some of the 84-85 Mark VII LSC got the HO CFI and so did the LTD LX.

Not really, I've seen them at the yard before. There's just no reason too when SEFI is miles ahead of CFI and is so easy and cheap to convert too.

yeah, for all the bother involved, you multiport it. Its a different cam too I think, so you're into the engine a fair bit to convert it for not a bunch of extra power. I think its 20 hp or something.

That said, if you score the dual snorkel air cleaner and the nice shiny air cleaner lid, those look 20 hp faster.

Supposedly cam specs for the H.O. '82-'84 cfi or carb got the same........

1973 Torino" profile flat tappet camshaft, duration 260° intake, 278° exhaust, lift of .416" intake, .444" exhaust

otherwise known as the marine grind..........a buddy of mine converted his baby ltd lx and probably has the computer and cam laying around but swapping isnt even worth it like everyone else has said, better to go with sefi and call it good.......
