    Longtube header install, part one.

Ok, I started with a set of dynomax headers for a 351M truck.

Got em free, so I aint bitchin.

    So far, mods needed:

    Hammering. Lots of it.
    Cutting.
And when I get to it on the drivers side, welding.
Oh. and I gotta redrill the block flanges to match the 302 bolt pattern. Shouldnt be hard.

Here is the difference. Anyone who cant get the bolts off, use a LOT of PB blaster, and go right after em.

Wow I hope you can get them to work. So those are the stock manifolds off your 200K+ mile motor? You didn't break a bolt? You are good mang! If it was that easy I would get a set of shorties for my vic but a guy one at C%N that did a swap and he busted like 2 bolts off in the block. I don't know if he used PB Blaster first though.

im thinking that those are going to hit the crossmember.

See the way the tubes are swept back. the driver side still comes very close to the frame.

See here how close the #8 is to the frame.

here you can see where the frame sits in relation to the primaries on the passenger side.

Again notice where the primaries sit in relation to where the motor mount bolts up. and then look at yours , they drop pretty close to iot.

I agree, they will need to be modified to go around the cross member. Looks like them things go so far down as to parallel the oil pan.
