Some previous owner fucked the hell out of that engine. I doubt I'll be able to use that block for a backup engine like I had planned.
The engine in the car has been honed, poorly. there is taper at the TOP of the cylinders, which means they used a 3 prong hone and pulled it out while still running it (big no-no). The headgaskets are just plain the wrong ones. Most of the water jackets are 80% covered by gasket material. I'm thinking this engine has been overheated very badly.
It's also no wonder when I fixed things that were rigged it ran worse.
