    I listened to your exhaust sound clip. I have the Flowmaster sound at idle. I haven't let anyone rev it, I will soon.

      I took my car out last week, it's friggin quiet compared to my protege.... :cuss: I gotta put the protege back to stock and get some more work done to the wagon.

        straight pipes with 3" resonated tips, think half a glasspack, lol, just enough to mellow it out, nice lumpy idle sound, loud as hell with almost a harley davidson bike kind of crackle just before shifts

          Apparenty, that theory about the X-pipe raising the tone was true. My car is definatly lower pitched than that. But yours sounds awesome... almost Cobra like.

            Capri is headers and open h pipe. I may finish the exhaust out with straight pipes. But it will never be muffled again.

                  1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
                  2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature. Stock for now
                  1989 Ford F-250 4x4 much much more to come, sefi converted so far.
                  1986 Toyota pickup with LSC wheels and 225/60/16 tires.
                  2008 Hyundai Elantra future Revcon toad
                  1987 TriBurner and 1986 Alaska stokers keeping me warm. (and some pesky oil heat)

                    I have to "fix" my exhaust. I tilled my pipes down a little more than lincolnmania and my tips stick out a little too far for me.

                      yea the drivers side doesent sit quite so high and tight........i will adjust it......waiting on a pair of summit glasspacks as resonators.......then a pr of turndowns.........we will be installing gadgets exhaust as soon as his midpipes show up from jegs

                        I took the car out yesterday. I LOVE that Flowmaster sound. The Marauder tips and unique exhaust note must be threatening because this guy in a Porsche 924 did an "Import" fly by on me.

                        I guess I have to get use to this kind of behavior now.
