How hard/ awesome would it be to install a..

TV / transmission (?) pressure guage? Right now the only thing that gives me the fear about my car is burnin another tranny. Oil, it uses none. Temp., the needle never moves once it's at 12 oclock and often likes to stay at 11:15. And man would I love to be able to just look at a guage some where to monitor tranny pressure and be able to stop and tweak that fuckin cable right back exactly where it should be w/ just an allen wrench and drive away.

Im assuming a 0-100 psi oil guage is the call. How much $ to get a good one? Advice on the install, I know where it hooks up to just would love to hear how to route the hose there. Im assuming 3 ft (more) of braided hose w/ the right fitting and a hole in the firewall sealed up real good w/ epoxy or a gasket?

Just lined up another two days of work at a pretty decent day rate on tv commercial, so I can definately afford to do this right. And fix other things, too. O2 sensors and cats and muffler (cheap Thrush so I can rock the sticker legit).

Id use an electric gauge, and run the wire in some loom zip tied the the thransmission wires.
Isnt there a different pressure port for each gear?

Beats me. I was planning on using the port mentioned here www.becontrols.com/tech/tvlinkage.htm just permanent like.

It's easy, since all the bolts on the passanger side are pressure ports. Just hook up the sender unit there and each one represents different pressures, like TV, and MAIN.

I was considering doing this as well, but I was gonna mount the guages under the hood since I don't really think I'd need to watch them all the time.

Thought about it and this doesn't need be a permanent addition (will roll w/ the guage and a long enough hose to test while driving though).
