    A/F for 5.8 PI

Anyone know which wire I tap into for the sender on the A/F gauge. I haven't bought the gauge yet (will be an autometer sport comp), just curious to see where the sender wire goes. My CVPI has three wires, two are white, and one is black, to the O2 sensor. Also, I only have one O2 sensor.

Didn't think anyone would know about this. Too few PI's out there! I said fuck it anyway. I don't need and A/F gauge anyway.

Ill try to find the instructions for my gauge - it never hurts to make sure you arent running too lean or rich. MIght even be able to find some online...

The sensor in the 85 only has one wire

Pete, he got three wires cause his O2 is heated, they work better when hot. And for accurate A/F readings a wide-band O2 sensor is needed, stocker will be only so much accurate. Them 5.8 manifolds, assuming the stock O2 is in one of them, is there an O2 sensor mounting location on the other side of the engine?

no location on the other bank, just the pass. side bank.

I want to say the two white wires are for the heater, the black wire is the sensor output. That would be what you need to tap into. Wideband O2 sensors are truly the shit, but they have a very different output and need a different type of gauge to use with them.

The cheap kind will still tell you if you are lean, rich, or ideal.
You dont need to know much more than that unless you are fine-tuning a hot rod...

That's what i was thinking, plus the wide bands are at least 300

Nope, about half that now. I'm waiting for the GB on this new one that's out. 70 bucks for the display/controller, and another 70 for the sensor

Which brand are we talking here? I need to have an autometer sport comp. Why, because it matches the rest of my gauges.
