That should be perfect then. Hopefully it's in better shape or has the parts you need to fix yours.

I might finally get back to the JY in a couple weeks. I'll check inventory to see if there are any Lincolns that might be suitable donors.

I don't know what I'll do with all the spares but it looks like I can get large assortments of various sized ball bearings on Amazon for about $15. That may be the way to go.

If you have a hardware store nearby (the kind that sells bolts and nuts individually), they probably have the ball bearings you need and you'll be out less than $1.

Home Depot is useless for that kind of stuff most of the time. The local hardware stores that have a whole section of little drawers of "stuff" has all the magical gee-gaws.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

OP, not sure if you have Ace Hardware near you, but we have several around here and they have tons of hard to find fasteners and other stuff like bushings, bearings, e-clips, locknuts, washers, etc...

Yeah... some Ace stores don't have them. Around here, they all do, but I have run across some that don't. You may be in one of those weird areas that doesn't like bearings.

He also put aftermarket speakers in the dash and rear deck. I had replace a bunch of dash screws they left out. I still haven’t gotten around to replacing the ones in the kick panel trim, there’s like one screw in it.
When he removed the ashtray for whatever reason he cut the wiring right at the lighter socket. The hot wire and ground were easy to find but I can’t find the brown wire that went to the bulb.
There’s also a white/blue wire down there coming through a rubber grommet in the dash just to the left of the ash tray, I’m not sure what that one is.
