thanks mangs!
I always thought these are the perfect valve covers for any smallblock carbed (or cfi) ford...
they are aftermarket style bling with OEM quality goodness!!
I forgot to include this bit of info:
I found a twist-in ford oil cap/breather at the junkyard and my breather hose worked to hook that breather up to the air cleaner. Its likely that you could stick a breather elbow into an oil cap and have the exact same thing, but since I found this I just used it.Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

i know!!! all the extra cfi stuff ruins it... you dont even want to see what became of the vacuum solenoids from the old valve covers, lets say the driver fenderwell is a little more crowded now... its all kinda hiding under the air snorkle though. 3 more years untill she can be registered as an antique...
and jeese that breather cap is dirty... I was loosing the daystar by the end of the swap so I just wiped it off... didnt see the crud in the nooks n crannies... maybe Ill clean it and paint it... maybe.Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

eh, I wouldnt call it ram air... the driver side tube opens up just behind the headlights, and the passenger side one tucks down to a flap I cut open in the rubber thing between the radiator and radiator supportPete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

no!!!! its my only ammo when I have to convince some one that indeed it is considered EFI as well as CFI for CFI is a type of EFI !!!!!Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

Technically, Pete's right. The fuel IS being injected, and it IS electronically controlled, so by definition it IS EFI. But still...it just seems so...carburetory. If that wasn't a word before, it is now.

not a whole terrible lot, I gotta get pics of the power trunk pulldown in here...
as far as updates, she sits under a 10x20 canopy and is driven across town/highway at least once a week, while I gather parts for big brakes and some sefi HO mojo.
Yes, she will loose the CFI (one day... soon? - It depends how fast certain people get certain HO parts to me ). I figure, if you're going to remove the CFI to do engine work, why put it back on????
I also need to do some more rust delaying and think of ways to get money for a good paintjob/body de-rustingPete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

the passenger front window motor quit again, so I replaced it again, this time with cheap new chineese. First I did bushings in that one (2003), then used brushes (2004). Then a re-man from Fisher(2006).
Went ahead and replaced the siezing PDL actuator again too with new chineese. First time I replaced it with a working used one... the new chineese actuator I put in the drivers door looked like good quality, so I went ahead and bought more for both cars.
Both chineese parts for this door were together under 50 bux...
big brakes soon... soon...Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements
