When you get a chance, take a pic of the relays in the corner by the brake booster. If you've got the original autolamp relay, that part number would be excellent. It should be a case grounded (metal) type attached to the fender.

also, it's probably a plastic cap. I figured out how the hell they actually wired these things. it's a friggen mess. Edited diagram in the autolamp thread.

Yust to warn you now. Like gadget said, that is a ton of sludge. Dont be shocked in the future, if the engine starts burning oil like crazy. The original engine from my mark looked like that. One day, the oil rings decided to clog up. With the engine tore appart that far, it would be pretty easy to rip it out.

Would be pretty easy if i had an engine hoist and another motor. Not just yet ready to swap to an explorer motor. This motor will be replaced once i build an explorer motor.

if that was the plan, it would make more sense to just leave it completely stock. I wouldn't have even pulled the heads. Honestly they aren't going to be that much worse than an E7. The E6 head was the one that was truly shit-tastic. Most of the heads from about 78-85 were pretty similar to the E7 design.

The only reason i pulled the heads is because the intake bolt snapped in one of the heads and one of the exhaust manifold bolts snapped in the other head.

And The Last 2 photos. The 1 photo is documented proof that it is a genuine bill blass and not a fake blass. so . And it ings the song of a shitty ass 3:08 Open which i will gladly remove and replace for a abs compatible 8.8 rear with disc brakes from a 90+ town car.

Update: Just bought new hood and trunk shocks for the bill blass from rockauto should get them in a few days. thats good becuase that hood and trunk are extremely heavy there steel its seems heavier than my old grand marquis hood and trunk which make me wonder if my 83 GM had aluminum hood and trunk.

the GM had springs, not lifts. works much better that way. Just remember, that even the new lifts may not hold the trunk up. You may have to quad them bastards like I did.

each set I got would hold for about 3 weeks... then droop. If your car has original paint and not some HEAVY Macco job like mine seems to have, it may just work.
