My 88 may be a total

First off, I'm fine... so was everyone else involved. I'm amazed at how comfortable the seats are even with this kind of air.

          Glad everyone is ok.
It's amazing how these cars, despite their size, are capable of getting lost in other drivers' blind spots. Exactly why people are supposed to check their blind spot before maneuvering.

NOOOO! That's just not fair man! Maybe if dickhead would've used his turning signal and waited a few seconds before turning this wouldn't have happened... IDIOT! Wasn't your 88 sideswiped down the same side before?

I feel for you man, glad it wasn't worse though.

EDIT. Just see in description it was a focus.

driver side has been hit 4 time prior (3 Pontiac G6 and Saturn Vue) and passenger side once (~2000 Ford Taurus - parking lot shenanigans).

also, I blame all the f'n manufacturers for making cars that are impossible to see out of. Try sitting in a Focus ST and actually checking your blind spot. You can't... there's that f'n C/D pillar with the huge molding on the inside that damn near blocks out that whole window. Do the same with a New Taurus, Camero, Mustang, Explorer, Challenger, Charger, 300, ... tired of listing ... and see of you can see well out the back. I bet the answer is no, especially compared to panthers. The ONLY new vehicle that's not a truck that I can actually see out the back decently (though still not good enough for me to really like) that I've been in lately is the C-Max.

I may be looking through the classified for another car soon. And if that's the case, I'm going to have a transmission, rear axle, driveshaft, airbox/filter/ziptube, stereo system, and a few other tidbits laying up in my garage. I just dropped a chunk of change on this car and they WILL repay me, or I will keep the parts.

                      Damnit. Not another box.

Glad you're alright. People don't even look anymore when they change lanes or pull out. That's how mine got T-boned.

I just got it back from the shop Friday

I hope you fix it. Some junkyard parts should have it looking pretty good.

                      If not...

I wonder how much shipping would be for two passenger side doors to Michigan.
1990 MGM: $50 E7 heads, HO cam, Holley SysteMAX lower intake, HO upper intake with an Explorer TB. LSC ECM. Lincoln logs into stock dual exhaust. K&N drop in air filter. Wide ratio AOD, 2400 converter with a 3.08 one tire fire out back. Car is less slow now. Then there's the '92 Beater. Dual 2.25" exhaust with shiny tips. Rumbles nice. Super slow. Burns oil too.

That sucks. at least nobody was hurt. I do agree about the poor sightlines on modern vehicles though. I have a hell of a time backing the boat up with my mom's Edge. can't see where the stupid thing is, which is sad because the boat is 17' long and on the trailer ends up near 20' at about the same width as the Edge is. It just vanishes back there, and I haven't quite learned to do the Exorcist head spin thing quite yet. Absolutely no trouble backing it up with my S10 or the Towncar though.
