Everyone is sick of the CFI (my bad - I look at the thing everyday and are wishful).

Nobody wants to work on the car. I mean NOBODY:bs:

yes it IS EFI - CFI is a type of EFI
CFI is electronic, it delivers fuel and its injections, there for CFI can be grouped into the larger category of EFI.

All CFI is EFI, but not all EFI is CFI did you study venn diagrams??
And for the final proof EFI IS STAMPED RIGHT ON THE MUSTANG CFI AIR CLEANERS PEOPLE
there will be no more of this CFI is not EFI nonsense

I wish I could help you work on it mang - I would say just start replacing parts, and start cruising the junkyards looking for the hard to find EEC-III map sensors.

You'd be better with a spray bottle filled with gas than cfi.

I don't know about it being a Ford idea, as my 1984 Celebrity had CFI. I can't remember what Chevy called it, but it was CFI in functionality.
