It has inspired me to do a little cleaning up on mine, though not quite to your level. I got one fender almost done today. Here are my before after pics, though looking at yours makes me want to get rid of my AC.
whats your method? mine is to disconnect and pull back every wire harness you can, then remove every item from the fender.
Then clean each item individually, loom all the wires, and wipe down the connectors.
Paint anything metal you can get by itself.
Then clean the whole fender well and apply the back to black! the stuff works!
Then put everything else back and enjoy the freshness.
oh!!! and yes your should definitly loose the AC.
I bet you would gain some high RPM HP if you straigtened out that twisty turny intake tube
PS
your pulley setup intrigues me. Is that all mustang arrangement or a blend of stang/vic??? I ask becuase I might need a different idler setup to run just my smog pump.
Well, if it disconnects from the wires I take it out and break it down and paint and clean. Then I prep for re-mounting things, run lengthened wires and what not. Then I use some purple cleaner to clean up the overall. Put it all back together and tighten wires where I can, I have quite a bit more than you do. But if I did as good of a job as you do I'm sure that it could look just as good.
Well my pully setup..yeah. It's 75% Vic, and 25% custom. The AC compressor actually is about 1/16th out of allignment with the engine pully so it needs to be re-worked, but I'm too lazzy for that big ass job when it works without any issues as it is. The alternator belt is all stock Vic, but the AC/water pump belt is not. I would like to get a complete setup from a 94-95 Mustang GT because it is 1 belt and the AC compressor goes down where the smog pump used to be.
