im not a hater but, if a 2150 will be the long term solution, i would do it. my car had a VV that was untouched for 25 years. im one of the lucky ones lol.

I'm hoping the rebuild will be a long term solution...I have a ton of diagnostic paperwork, schematics, and theory for the VV carb. The big problem is most people have no idea about the system and don't want to bother (i really don't blame them, throwing on the 2150 carb is a lot easier). Diagnostics aren't that hard if you have the trouble shooting paperwork with specs and tests for everything.
The carb was never rebuilt as far as i know, however the diaphragms were replaced, as the service hole was drilled for the one.
By was untouched does that mean you now have something else on there? haha-Phil

when i say untouched, i mean just that. only thing ever replaced was the fuel filter. it was never removed or rebuilt. only thing that was done to the carb from new, was the choke was disconnected. got great gas mileage too, except on humid days lol.
