    HO header question

So I am all ready to put the HO headers I got from Scott on GL, but I was wondering what the Torque specs are for the bolts. Also, should I spray some PB blaster or something on the bolts the night before? Or can I just wrench on them without breaking them off?

    Thanks for the help guys

It would be the same as your old manifolds. The manifold holes don't take any torq your heads do.

Something else you're gonna find: the bolts needed for the HO headers are different than the stock manifolds. All the header bolts are short, and if your manifolds are like mine, half are long, half are short. IJust take one of the short ones and match it up. Soak the hell out of them before going to remove them, and I'd reccommend loading them up with some anti-seize compound before installing the headers.

Might also be a good idea to pick up new nuts for the header outlet flange if you don't already have them. I think they might be larger than the stock manifolds, a 3/8" nut or something.

I ordered some new bolts to replace the long ones, so I am good on that.

I can't start the install until after tuesday, I have to go in tomorrow and order a new flywheel for our lawnmower.
