Went racing on Sunday made it to the semi finals then I broke out. It was about 95* out so I only pushed out an 8.7 again but I did knock my 60ft down to 1.80. Cant wait to go back on a cooler day. I really want to hit 8.5.

          Race results for sunday.

          Sunday, June 5th 2011 - Race 1 of 3.

Today was another excellent day spent at Panama Beach Raceway. With this being the first race day for the annual event, Bay Mustang Club was ready to defend their title with a great group of racers revved up for the event. Their driver, Tyler Doin, powered home his 1985 Mustang for the first place win of the challenge!

Outlaws Car Club's driver, Dana Wilson, walked his 1970 Chevelle down the lanes like a true professional and ended up in first place for the Quick 8. What a stunning car.

Tricked Out Car Club was the operating club for this event and brought several vehicles to run as well. They are the points leader...for now. They also finished in the top three, and brought strong competition right to the end.

2011 leaderboard points after 06/05 results:

Tricked Out Car Club = 24

          (1,1,1,1,2,2,2,2,2,3,3,Q1,Q1,Q2)

          Bay Mustang Club = 14

          (1,1,1,2,2,3,3,Q1)

          Outlaws Car Club = 9

          (1,2,Q1,Q2,Q3)

looking at the underhood pic, where does your intake tubing go? does it just sort of end behind the headlights?

Scored a few goodies in the last week or so. Picked up a set of tudor doors complete, straight, and rust free at the j-yard. Just in case something were to happen to mine. I also nabbed a tremec t-5 rebuilt to hold over 500hp so I don't have to worry about blowing up my ford one anymore. Im going to install a better clutch and find an aluminum driveshaft when I put it in. Im still looking for the right set of underdrive pulleys if anyone has any ideas on what will work.

Looks like the same color scheme as the one I found for yours...
These are a tad bit lighter since they're Manual windows!

Hate to burst your bubble but no t-5 can handle over 500hp.Sounds like Walt from Promotion or someone else is telling you stories.I have been building stick transmissions for over 25 years & Bob Hanlon & I are good buddies so if you don't believe me you can give him a call.Just FYI Tremec bought Borg Warner automotive's trans line in 97 or 98 so in essence any t-5 is A Tremec. What you might have there is a FRPP t-5 because I can see from the photo it is 93 & down Mustang style.Only difference is the gear ratios & it is slightly stronger than a factory t-5 but not much.If it still has a tag on it bolted to one of the tailshaft bolts the last 5 numbers on the tag will be 7003Z if it is a FRPP unit. Also to determine what year it was built it will have a # cast in a small circle on the lid, side of the case & tailshaft which will have the last 2 digits of the year .

Its internals where rebuilt. I should say that the case is a tremec or what you would call a "z" tranny the guts aren't. Its just a lot easier to tell people its a tremec because that is want most people have heard of.

Again no t-5 can handle over 500hp reliably the parts are too small.G-Force & Liberty make there own gearsets for t-5's & they only handle a little over 400hp. Can show you pictures of their blown up stuff that I have repaired,Astro's ad's are purely propaganda & they gets away with it by putting a disclaimer at the bottom saying there is no warranty for abuse.I'm sure every one of their boxes that has grenaded has been "abused" when it comes time for a repair.
