Get on www.corral.net and find a Mustang guy who has replaced the stock exhaust in your area. I can almost guarantee he'll give you the stock headers and H-pipe for free.
Then go to your local parts store and order (2) Walker part number 43281 midpipes and Mustang flanges.
        Then order THESE
Then go pick up some 2.25" clamps, hook up all the stuff you picked up, then drive it to the muffler shop to have them install your tailpipes. You'll be done with a complete 2.25" exhaust system for less than $225.
2011 Mustang GT Premium, MT82, Kona/Saddle, HIDs, 3.73s, 19s, hood/side stripes, UPR 1.5" springs with adjustable panhard bar, and UMI solid LCAs and relocation brackets.
1992 Explorer Eddie Bauer, slight lift, 34s, and A/C...
1979 Bronco Custom, 351M/C6/NP205, 4" lift, 35s, lots of fender trimming.

Thanks for the input but I've looked into it; there are no Mustang H pipes or stock headers available used around here that I could find.

Merit Enforcer II??? i put those on my 91 (stock setup) and its quiet as a mouse.

Also, be aware that the cheapest pipe is going to be the first to rust. I've seen cheap exhaust systems rust out in 2-4 years.
And the back pressure thing is poppycock. the exhaust on the '85 is very free flowing, the motor is mostly stock, and i have low end torque out the wazoo (for a lopo)

yeah, I told the guy that while he's been great to me and his shop has done good work on my cars, I had to disagree with him, and he said he's gonna do what I tell him to, though he still thinks the car won't run the same.

                No, it'll run better

What are you running there for pipes/elbows between the muffler and dual tip (which looks great, btw)? Is it just a 90 degree bend with tips?

Most excellent. Thanks a lot. I might actually try to find dual tips like those eventually, but for now I'll just be going with regular ol' pipe

All of the shops I've talked to have said they'll do the work for me but "the man" frowns on cars without mufflers and side-exit exhaust on anything but trucks. It won't pass MVI like that and could very well get me pulled over and have it taken off of the road. Fuck.

I might just cut the muffler off, clamp a glasspack in there, and save my money and do a complete catback setup when I have enough bread.

Yep. Now I'm stuck with some crappy crimp bent, no crossover at all duals. If you take it to a shop, make sure they do what they say their going to do.

I was hoping I could find a better picture of the pipes I made for the burnout box.

This was all I could find (the outlets, in front of the passenger's side rear wheel)....

My intent was to make the exhaust blow the tire smoke outward, and it worked ok...
I used a sectioned '04 P71 h pipe, and some misc bends and shit pipe I had laying around. I buzzed it all together with a shitty welder, and put it on.

The results... This is what a stock LO 5.0 sounds like with converters, but no mufflers. Still pretty quiet.
