yeah the marquis cluster isnt nearly as deep as a TC one. If it wasnt for the damn circuit ribbon on the back of the cluster you could just dremel out the whole back of the cluster, and then some of the dash itself where the cluster rests.

are you planing to all put in the housing? i see the fuel,oil,water temp. guages. but were you goin to add the speedo? if so you can realy chop up the cluster however you want to. you just need to figure out how to mount new lights for your turn signals, check engine light, and high beam indicators. since you are replacing all the guages you dont need the tape on the back of the cluster anymore. the cluster you have chosen is electroluminensent and causes it's own light without bulbs so you wont need the tape for back lights either. so have fun and remember that you need to change senders out for ones that work with a digi cluster.(temp,oil,gas)if you haveany more questions just ask here or in the electrical tech area and we will try to hook you up.sigpic"I love it when a plan comes together." A full TC digi cluster into a box TC would be a real bitch. The message center is a real hassle to wire in, and the fuel guage sender needs to be changed to the digital dash one for the fuel guage to work. The actual speedo part is the simplest part to do actually.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

:megadeth: it's taken about 8 mounths to get this done only because i was almost complete with the '87-'88 cougar totally digital dash when i got the '89+ cougar/t-bird cluster finally working (found out that there was an anti-theft circut that needed a power that the diagrams i had didn't show)that i've been working with for years any way here's the pics.
i'll have a write up on this one and the '87 style as soon as possible. i've also have to change the green faces to blue to match the rest of the car.
