It's actually one of those kinda rare first gen Lightning kits. A 2.2L Blowzilla. Ironically the snout bracket was cut down for a 302, then welded back up for a 351, and now I have to cut it back down for a 302. I just finished blasting it actually.

before hacking it, why not get a 351W roller block. It's not gonna split the 351W block.

                I've thought about it...

But I rarely see any F4TE blocks in the yards, and with my luck one I find will have cracked cam bearing journals. Then I need to find a Lightning lower, special headers, ect....

I see a lot of the lowers. Headers are off the shelf.

                    We'll see....

                    Picture time!

Chemdipped and sandblasted the blower plenum/intake and painted it to match. Came out good I think.

                    The money [s]maker[/s] taker.
Just cleaned it up quick, initail inspection looks like it's in good shape.

Looks like it's had a little cleaning up done.

                    Nice and clean inside:

                    Quick mock up...

Compared to a regular gt40 upper (yes I know it's not going to fully fit under the hood)

                        1" cowl hood... done.

better yet... mod the hood at the factory lines to raise the entire center section to the needed height.

Love the valve covers. There was a guy years ago that had the factory towncar hood raised on the bodyline. Should do that. If you do the minimum you need to clear the blower it'd look stock. Could also make your own motor mounts and drop the motor a little

Nice score on the blower. I don't have enough patience to find one of those when I was considering my options with my wagon.

You will most likely need to modify the throttle cable, and possibly run a lightning spacer / egr delete. Hopefully everything clears for you.

                                It MIGHT close.

Worst case Ontario, you'd have to trim the bracing.
