no that wire is on the other side as the coolant sensor for the digital gauge is on the same side as the wire used for it. that wire he was holding is part of the harness for the oem temp sensor one green wire and one black wire.Originally posted by 86VickyLX View Post

i advise you to replace the ignition switch X100000000000 in the merc. bad shit happens if it goes. i never replaced it which i should have it only is a $20 part but if it's original it probably falling apart which can lead to fires inside the steering column. replace it might even fix the starting issues and run smoother. i got a new one for my linc because i was already having issues like the car not always wanting to even crank over and getting stuck in the start position. when replacing it inspect the connector for melting plastic if it's melted buy a new connector shell they sell them brand new still.

Stupid question worth asking Matt: Where's the oil filler anyways? I don't see that priminent 'ENGINE OIL' cap sticking out anywhere.
