now it all makes sense (thanks Pete)
I was suggesting the carb just to get it moving faster and avoiding a tow bill.. but after John's rant about the tires... it might be more prudent to tow it.

I suggested a carb because he stated he wanted to get the Mark running well enough to do an engine swap on the TC, didn't make it clear the Mark's flat tappet EFI would be temporary also. In that case sure getting the wiring done on a junk engine makes sense, but if you were gonna keep that engine longer i'd still stick a carb on it.88 Town Car (wrecked, for sale)

Because that shit won't help a clapped out lopo with an AOD that only has 1st and 2nd run better. Get that piece of shit out of there and leave Scott alone, because he has more important things to worry about than your dumb ass leaving shit behind everytime you go there, and costing him money and his time than you really deserve. I suggest you just shut the fuck up because you're almost as OR maybe even more annoying than Matt is...

well today i planned on picking up the bill blass using AAA called them earlier in the week to see what the requirements were to tow it i have a membership plus card for them they will tow it for free up to 100 miles guy said earlier this week it needs to be registered and insured i had it insured and i got the title transferred into my name and registered today(in preparations to get it towed by AAA like they requested) called AAA ready to tell them to tow it and a lady picked up the phone and said that it needs to also have a valid inspection sticker WTF you didnt mention that when i called earlier so i was really pissed so car isnt home. i just got the car how the fuck am i suppose to have it inspected right away so AAA got a nice chewing from me today since thats a load of bullshit needing the car to have a valid inspection to have it towed(Must be because someone must have burned them a new asshole in the past i dont know just guessing). so fuck AAA. anyways john and i got all the eec iv stuff harvested and i got some 90 town car goodies to go along with the conversion only thing we need now is the trans linkage. so due to AAA fucking me over today i have to wait 2 more weeks to get it home and plan B is going to ask my neighbor if he can use his 2008 dodge ram 1500 Hemi 5.7 and haul it home on a car trailer i will rent from uhaul. the car is all mine and i want it home where it belongs there will be no conflicts next time i go down or i will be splitting heads. owner supposedly is getting sued for some stupid thing he did and if he loses his business due to it im not having them confiscate the car as i have proof to show it is not theres anymore and its mine. wish me luck in 2 weeks everything goes well. then once its home john and i can start the conversion. she needs a huge major deatailing when she is home im talking couple of washes, a couple of compounding to get the oxidation out of her, and a couple of coats of wax to at least make the paint come back to life. heres 2 pics i took today. i swear to give the loving this car deserves by giving it a total restoration as it is a good piece of lincoln history to have and there a collectors item these days and there rare to come by.

Sorry you are having a problem with towing. I did notice a tow truck where the pictures were taken. Couldn't they tow it for you for a reasonable fee ? AAA towing is for breakdown or to tow a vehicle to a repair facility one direction, one time within their guidelines for repair. Since they do not tow vehicles that are not suppose to be on the road (no insurance, registration, inspection, plates) I can see their point. I have been a member for 41 years. They did not have that restriction many years ago. People were misusing the benefit. Misuse of the benefits keep the membership rates going up. I just paid $167 for this year. When I first joined, it was $24. Yes the AAA agent should have be more specific with all the criteria.
I wish you the best with your Lincoln.

http://www.bestroadsideservice.com/ I have them for my 3 cars. Total for the year, for ALL three is $175 and they tow a LONG distance - not like 15 miles or some shit like some of the companies. Check them out!! I do believe, however, you need a subscription for at least 5 days before the service kicks in but worth it for our older cars that can fail at any time. Bobby
P.S. Matt, in your posts can you use more sentence breaks and periods??? The "run-on" sentences give me a headache!

For this one time you may need a tow just for the inspection and then check out their service. They contract through local towing so if your local towing company/companies are bad then you have an issue! By the way, how far is the car from an inspection station? Any friends that can help??

It is no where ready for inspection due to an exhaust leak. The car is located in newtown pa 2 hours from me.
Its about 90 miles to get there.

Can you rent something to tow it yourself? are you doing the exhaust leak or having it done? If having it done, perhaps a local shop can at leat do that and you can have it inspected there??

hmm that stinks matt...I would be disappointed by that too. Personally I would go the other route you were thinking of, renting a car trailer and have your neighbor tow it back for a few bucks. It would get the car back faster and you can work on it at your leisure. Best of luck, keep us updated-Phil
