OP, define "equivalent". You're going to have a hard time finding whitewalls, because apparently they are out of style now. *Eyeroll* I don't think Michelin makes whitewalls in this size anymore. If you are fine with the truck tire look of blackwalls, you can get them anywhere.

Yeah, I looked a looooong time for whitewalls that weren't crap and outdated. I ended up making my own with a grinder and a set of mickey thompsons, but unless you have 10 hours and a brake lathe...
Check out Diamondback Tires. They apply a whitewall to high-quality tires like Hankooks or the excellent Michelin Defender. They can do almost any size you like.
DiamondBack is about the only alternative if you want authentic, period correct looking tires, but they are SALTY.

Coker Tire carries them as well. Narrow whitewall or wide.
These are highly engineered precision vehicles, the first step in diagnosing the problem is to strike the suspected offending part sharply and repeatedly with a blunt object, then re-test.
You're going to have a hard time finding whitewalls, because apparently they are out of style now. *Eyeroll*
Try finding the dual-stripe whitewalls from the '78 Mark V Diamond Jubilee Edition....unobtanium now, I think, unless you go custom.
